GEXCO ascertains the quantity and the quality of the cargo being loaded/discharged from vessels, or any other means of transportation. For that purpose, GEXCO:
1. Boards vessels prior to operations, inspects cargo and takes reserves if necessary
2. Checks stowage, blocking and lashing on one hand, and cargo condition and quantity on the other.
3. Oversees the discharge and under tackle delivery or transfer in warehouse
4. Oversees when applicable the ex-warehouse delivery
5. Issues daily reports to its principals
6. Reports straight away any substantial problem by phone and then by email in due course
On operations completion, GEXCO delivers a final detailed report
NOTE: Similar process is followed for containerized
cargo, the container being considered as the vessel or the vessel’s holds
